Caravan of Thieves

Stretching the parameters of acoustic swing, Caravan of Thieves has a unique brand of gypsy flavored song writing. Vocal harmonizing, acoustic guitar strumming, a fiery violin, and a double bass combine for some really fun, really one of a kind music.

Three guys, six keyboards, fifteen hits of the 1980’s.  All played live!  Impressive.

Someone I follow on Twitter was asking for suggestions on mid-90’s rap songs to add to a mix.  That question is right up my alley… mad love for 90’s hip-hop!  For some reason I thought of this song.  Completely loved it when it came out, and it’s still a great tune.  I don’t remember seeing this video at the time:

I love finding new music, therefore I now love the Hype Machine.  They aggregate tons of music blogs and let you listen to the most popular/most blogged artists via the radio.  Once a song is older than 3 days it’s removed from the “popular” list to keep things fresh.
