Just saw this on Twitter from @allsongs (NPR’s All Songs Considered):  Fanfarlo is selling their new album for $1 plus bonus track.

Here’s their super cool video for “Outsiders” involving a toy robot:

Melody Gardot

Melody Gardot

Melody Gardot is singer/songwriter whose talent was realized due to an unfortunate circumstance.  She was disabled at 19 years old as a result of a car accident.  Her physician believed music could help improve from her brain injury, as it has shown positive results in improving people’s cognitive ability by rebuilding pathways in the brain that are necessary for recalling data.

So Melody began recording bedside, and she eventually got the attention of a local DJ.  The rest as they say, is history.  Her music is a bit reminiscent of Norah Jones with an old school jazz/ lounge singer feel.  Perfect music for relaxing on a lazy afternoon, or backdrop at a dinner party.
