On the 4th July, Diageo Ireland is launching a new Budweiser campaign featuring a groundbreaking 60 second TV advertisement titled Lyrics. It was filmed over 5 days from a train as it tracked around the city in often below freezing temperatures (no surprise there!)
Oh, and “Hispanic people too” if you manage to watch it all the way through. Local commercials are pretty horrible no matter where you live, but this one from a furniture store in High Point, NC is a true stand out.
If you’re from the U.K. you might remember this one, but since I’m not today was the first time I had seen it. This is a great commercial… even better when you realize it was created in 1989.
From the BK press release: “The King is setting hearts ablaze for the holidays with his new scent of choice. FLAME™, a new men’s body spray by Burger King Corp., features the scent of seduction with the hint of flame-broiled meat.”
The only thing I can think of is the segment on SNL with Amy Poehler and Seth Myers… REALLY?
According to my brother, blogging about this is fulfilling BK marketing’s wet dream since generating a buzz was their intention. I can’t help myself though, this is just too… gross. (And there are not hordes of you reading this anyway, right?)
