Wu-Tang Clan’s 36 Chambers was iconic and ground breaking, and incredible rap.  Someone created an all-Lego version of the “Da Mystery of Chessboxin” video.  I don’t have this kind of time on my hands but I’m glad somebody does because this is awesome.  OK I probably do have this kind of time on my hands, but not enough talent to put this together.

This is a story called “Who Have You Told?” written and performed by Andrea Askowitz, author of “My Miserable, Lonely, Lesbian Pregnancy“.

Wonderfully funny thoughts on being 2 weeks pregnant, radical honesty, and the Reproductive Freedom Ride.  Watch it now!

Artists Protest Tamms Supermax Prison with Mud Stencils

Artists Protest Tamms Supermax Prison with Mud Stencils

Last Saturday in Chicago, local artists partnered with the Tamms Year Ten coalition to protest state-sanctioned torture at the supermax prison in Southern Illinois. And they did it with mud.

Prisoners… are held in permanent solitary confinement, and never leave their cell except to shower or exercise alone in a concrete pen. Their is no communal activity, no contact visits, no phone calls, an no educational or rehabilitative programming… The supermax was designed to be a short-term shock-treatment, but one-third of prisoners have been held indefinitely since the prison opened over ten years ago.

her skin smelled like lavender

How could you not like a party that kicks off with a parade and ends with a shopping cart in a tree?
That’s what I thought.
